M’Aiken Music will be singing for the Sunny Monday Program at St. John’s UMC in Aiken on Monday, December 11 at 12:00 noon.

MAiken Music participated for the first time in the Hopelands Summer Concert Series on June 5th, 2017. However, due to the weather, the concert had to be moved to the O’dell Weeks Center.

We sang some 60’s tunes at “The Car Hop” at the Reserve Club at Woodside Plantation on  on Saturday, May 27th.

M’Aiken Music entertained the residents of Cumberland Village Retirement Community on May 23rd.

We had a wonderful time providing the entertainment for Covenant Presbyterian in Augusta, Georgia on February 22.

We especially enjoyed it when our emcee, Carolyn Beeler, got some young people from the audience to assist her with the percussion on the song “Happy!”

On December 8th, M’Aiken Music performed at Night of 1000 Lights in downtown Aiken, SC. The area was packed with people shopping and strolling around listening to the carolers and performers.

Thank you to Tanya and Ross Desmond for allowing MAiken Music to participate in the Reserve Club’s July 4th celebration. It was such an honor to be asked to sing, honoring families and the military. The program was well thought out–so much time and effort devoted to the event. And the fireworks were absolutely spectacular!!

The singing sisters of MAiken Music provided entertainment at Ladies Night at the Masonic Lodge on Friday, June 24th.

We were both proud and humbled to entertain the attendees of the Philanthropic Educational Organization (P.E.O.) State Convention in Greenville on Saturday, June 4 during lunch. This was a great opportunity for our group to be heard by a statewide audience, and was TONS of fun!

On Saturday, May 7th, MAiken Music was one of four groups performing at “Music Under the Magnolias” at Redcliffe Plantation. The audience sat in lawn chairs in the shade of the magnolia trees  to listen to some local musicians. The event featured Aiken Youth Orchestra, East Aiken School of the Arts’ piano students, Belles Canto, and MAiken Music.

southern sounds 2016

MAiken Music was beyond thrilled to be able to participate in the Southern Sounds Acappella Concert, a collaborative a cappella concert with the Christopher Wren Singers on April 9th, 2016 at the Circular Congregational Church in Charleston, SC! The Christopher Wren Singers, based out of Williamsburg, VA, are The College of William and Mary’s oldest student-run a cappella group.

2015

We held two performances of our 2015 Spring Concert, “The Story of Love,” on May 10th, one at 2 pm and the other at 4:30 pm, at the Aiken County Historical Museum. It was a fabulous day for singing about love! Thank you to our enthusiastic audience for coming out to enjoy the music, and to all those who made our concert a success, especially our wonderful narrator, Doris Hoffman, and the folks at Banksia. In addition, a shout-out to MAiken Music member Carolyn Beeler, who stepped up once again to be our amazing and entertaining MC.

We were thrilled to be part of the entertainment for Aiken’s very first “Dinner with Friends en Blanc” event on May 3, 2015. This event was a fundraiser for the Community Medical Clinic, bringing the entire community together. Attendees, all dressed in white, brought their own meal and tabletop décor and enjoyed an exciting evening of music, wine and dining under the stars.

The women of MAiken Music had a fabulous time singing at Aiken’s Makin’ on Saturday, September 6th, 2014. The weather was HOT, but the crowds were out in full force for the gorgeous artwork, jewelry, crafts, and music.
